Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad rubbishes claims Pakatan Harapan will fall apart, and says he is not walking alone

Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has quashed claims that Pakatan Harapan (PH) will break apart due to internal squabbling.

He also denied that he is 'alone' as PKR president Anwar Ibrahim and DAP's superstar Lim Kit Siang are actively strategising against his leadership.

"But even in the party, you can see that this Cabinet has stayed together and has been able to make decisions even on critical issues," Dr Mahathir told reporters after the World Tourism Conference in Kuala Lumpur today, Monday 26 August 2019.

He made this clarification when asked to comment on Barisan Nasional (BN) Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's remark that PH will break apart from political gangrene due to internal squabbling.

Ahmad Zahid said the coalition is dying a slow death due to internal as well as intra-party power struggles.

The UMNO president believes that PH would fall in the next general election as people have become unhappy with the coalition for failing to fulfil its general election promises and address economic woes.

What Mahathir expected did not happen Initially, Mahathir Mohamad thought his party – PPBM (Bersatu) – could  morph  into a new version of UMNO. Shah Alam City YESTERDAY, FMT reported that the capital city of Selangor had become very quiet, slow and almost no business, many buildings unoccupied, which one of them only utilised by less than ten staff of a company. Some factories closed down, businesses from petty traders to big timers closed shops for the past six months and so on. Even foreign business people from Indonesia and Pakistan decided to go back to their respective countries or moved to other places. Dalam satu perkembangan yang agak memeranjatkan, teraju utama Parti Bersama Malaysia (Bersama) Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli mengesahkan Encik Syukri Razab ( gambar , atas sekali ) adalah presiden parti itu dan namanya berdaftar dengan Pendaftar Pertubuhan (RoS - Registrar of Society) Malaysia. Beliau merupakan bekas pegawai khas kepada Rafizi Ramli.
