Prosecution lists 13 reasons why Muhyiddin shouldn't be discharged and acquitted

Media reported yesterday the prosecution has listed 13 reasons why a High Court judge was wrong to acquit and discharge former prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin of four counts of abuse of power relating to his administration’s Jana Wibawa programme. In its petition of appeal, according to the news portal  FMT , the prosecution said Justice Jamil Hussin erred in law and facts for arbitrarily using his inherent powers as the charges had been framed in accordance with the law. It said the judge was also wrong to use his powers to prematurely revoke the charges given that the prosecution had yet to produce evidence by calling witnesses and tendering documents. (Bernama Picture) The implementation of the Open Payment Toll Collection System (SPT) which allows highway users to pay tolls using debit and credit cards, officially began yesterday (Friday, September 29) on 11 highways, Malaysia's official news agency Bernama reported. The highways are the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Expressway (AKLEH), the Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE), the Sungai Besi Expressway (BESRAYA), the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) and the Butterworth-Kulim Expressway (BKE). Others include the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP), Skim Penyuraian Trafik Kuala Lumpur Barat (SPRINT), Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS), SMART Tunnel, Kuala Lumpur-Putrajaya Expressway (MEX) and Duta-Ulu Klang Expressway (DUKE). Wanted Muhyiddin's son-in-law's Interpol Red Notice is still in process

Police are still waiting for technical information from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to complete the application for an Interpol Red Notice for two individuals including Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's son-in-law Datuk Seri Muhammad Adlan Berhan. According Malaysia's official news agency Bernama ,the Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay   (picture, above)   said several technical issues are currently being updated by MACC.
