The current PM also wants to
Since too many political leaders in this country are aspiring to be the Eleventh Prime Minister, famous blogger Tuan Syed Akbar Ali (pictured, top) has suggested that Malaysia appoint a PM from among the Rohingya refugees.
Although the suggestion is believed to be sarcastic, it may be worth studying and considering carefully. This is because this community is said to have various talents in multiple fields.
Furthermore, their influx here has the potential for them to dominate this country for a certain period of time.
Syed Akbar wrote on his blog, OutSyed The Box recently in response to an article published by Permadu Malaysia on Sunday, 19 July 2026.
In a related development, television station and news portal Astro Awani reported yesterday that Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi gave a sarcastic comment on the statement of the Secretary-General of National Vision Party (Wawasan), Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah, who proposed Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin as Prime Minister after the 16th General Election (GE16).
According to the Barisan Nasional Chairman, the Wawasan Party is currently in the phase of emerging as a new entity entering the national political arena.
“I think that is a good ambition and I think that is probably an effort that is highly appreciated by all political parties in our country.
"Hopefully we wish success to Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah's great ambition as Secretary-General of Parti Wawasan Negara which is emerging as the 'new kid on the bloc' party," Zahid said jokingly.
He said this in a press conference after attending the 2026 RISDA Central Zone Farmers' Convention Program, in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, on Tuesday, 28 July 2026.
Previously, Saifuddin in an audio broadcast program offered Hamzah as a new face to the people to lead the country through the National Consensus.
According to him, the people no longer want the same old faces to lead the country so that opportunities can be given to those who are more qualified.
For the record, Wawasan, which is an official component party of the Perikatan Nasional (PN), is now reaching an understanding with Barisan Nasional to face the 16th Negeri Sembilan State Election (PRN).
BN is contesting in 25 State Legislative Assembly (DUN) seats, while PN is entering the remaining 11 DUN seats out of the total 36 DUN seats in Negeri Sembilan.
Out of 11 PN seats, Wawasan contests four areas like Klawang, Sikamat, Mambau and Gemas.
This election has 103 candidates for 36 seats with 889,490 voting this Saturday.
