Na'imah denies any involvement — SPRM is looking for Tun Daim's 3 sons and a daughter

Media reported yesterday that the SPRM, known in English as Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), is seeking four Malaysians to assist in an investigation into a case.

The four are the children of the late Tun Daim Zainuddin.

In a media statement issued yesterday, Friday 27 February, the MACC identified them as Asnida Abdul Daim, Md Wira Dani Abdul Daim, Muhammed Amir Zainuddin Daim and Muhammed Amin Zainuddin Daim.

Asnida’s last known address is in Country Heights, Kajang, Selangor.

Those with information on her whereabouts are urged to contact investigating officer Supt Mohamad Daeem Mohd Ali at 017-9127217 or email mohamad.daeem@sprm.gov.my.

Md Wira Dan’s last known address is in Taman Melawati, Ulu Klang, Kuala Lumpur.

Information on his whereabouts can be channelled to investigating officer Supt Ahmad Aiman Ramly at 011-61930814 or via email at ahmad.aiman@sprm.gov.my.

Muhammed Amir’s last known address is in Bukit Tunku, Kuala Lumpur.

Those with information on him can contact investigating officer Assistant Supt Muhamad Ridhwan Mat Hussain at 019-9895174 or email ridhwan.hussain@sprm.gov.my.

Muhammed Amin’s last known address is in Bukit Tunku, Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.

Information on his whereabouts can be channelled to investigating officer Assistant Supt Hardiansyah Ismail at 013-5639147 or email hardiansyah@sprm.gov.my.

Members of the public may also contact the MACC hotline or the nearest MACC office with any relevant information.

In related development, Malaysiakini reported that the counsel for two of Daim’s children criticised MACC for issuing a public statement urging the public to provide details of their whereabouts.

Calling it reckless and unjustified, lawyers Encik Rajesh Nagarajan and Encik Sachpreetraj Singh said MACC decided to publicly reveal their clients’ names, photos, and home addresses despite the counsel being in constant communication with the commission.

Earlier, the wife of a former cabinet minister has come under police crosshairs after a report alleging she was plotting to topple the government and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Without mentioning name, people were guessing who was the "influential individual" that Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Ismail meant in his press statement earlier yesterday, where he announced they were investigating an attempt to destabilise the country.

Responding to the allegation, Toh Puan Na’imah Abdul Khalid, the wife of the late former Finance Minister Tun Daim Zainuddin, has denied any form of effort to topple the government.

In a statement yesterday, Na'imah said that any attempt suggesting she was behind the Bloomberg exposé involving MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki is not only irresponsible but also an insult to the journalists concerned.
