"Wahai Kerajaan", kata Ahmad Maslan
What Mahathir expected did not happen Initially, Mahathir Mohamad thought his party – PPBM (Bersatu) – could morph into a new version of UMNO. After all, it was him who brilliantly destroyed the original UMNO in 1988 and created “UMNO Baru” (the current UMNO version 2.0). But unlike in 1988, Mr. Mahathir had quit UMNO to form PPBM on 8 September 2016, and was no longer in charge of UMNO. UMNO won four times higher than Bersatu in GE14 Hence, after he leveraged on opposition Pakatan Harapan and stunningly defeated the scandal-plagued Najib government, his first priority was recruiting UMNO MPs to join his party. UMNO, although lost miserably, still won 54 parliamentary seats in the May 2018 General Election – more than 4 times the number of seats Mahathir’s party managed to capture. PPBM the worst among four strategic parties Mahathir’s party won only 13 seats out of the 52 Parliamentary seats it contested in the 2018 poll. That’s ...
Shah Alam City YESTERDAY, FMT reported that the capital city of Selangor had become very quiet, slow and almost no business, many buildings unoccupied, which one of them only utilised by less than ten staff of a company. Some factories closed down, businesses from petty traders to big timers closed shops for the past six months and so on. Even foreign business people from Indonesia and Pakistan decided to go back to their respective countries or moved to other places. A prominent business analyst, in his blog wrote that one of the reasons for the downfall of Shah Alam was the government's policy in overconcentrating a Malay population in the said city. Syed Albar Ali also suggested other reasons as well. Below is the write-up as published by OutSyed The Box on 30 January 2020. Syed Akbar Ali's comments : Just the other day Forest City announced 400 staff were being let go. Could it be because things are not so great anymore? D...
Analysts say Johor state elections will be PH Vs BN — but they overlook Bersama PAS and Bersatu are expected to face a rough ride in the upcoming Johor state election, as both parties look set to go their own way while their potential allies appear lacklustre. Though both parties have announced efforts to form new political configurations amid Perikatan Nasional’s ongoing crisis, news portal FMT spoke to Dr Mazlan Ali of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and he said these new alliances would not be earth-shattering in Johor. Mazlan said both parties had limited options for allies, having been linked to the same entities such as Berjasa, Pejuang, Putra, and Muda. He added that these small parties command little influence and are incapable of taking on Barisan Nasional or Pakatan Harapan. “I don’t see any real competition in Johor. It will be more like BN against PH, as PAS and Bersatu have been weakened by their division. “Although these small parties will want to help them, they will not ...
THE WOLF NEVER WANTED THE ARGUMENT A Wolf And A Lamb Meet At A Stream. Not As Enemies. As Neighbors Sharing Water. The Wolf Is Higher Up The Brook. The Water Runs From Him To Her. Still, He Accuses. “You Muddy My Water.” The Lamb Answers Gently. She Is Correct. Physics Is On Her Side. The Water Cannot Flow Upward. The Accusation Collapses Instantly. So The Wolf Replaces It. “I Heard You Spoke Ill Of Me Last Year.” The Lamb Explains Again. She Is Six Months Old. She Did Not Exist Last Year. Another Charge Fails. So The Wolf Stops Pretending To Care About Truth. “If It Was Not You, It Was Your Father.” And With That, The Argument Ends. The Teeth Appear. The Lamb Is Eaten. This Story Is Not About Cruelty. It Is About Power. The Wolf Never Wanted An Explanation. He Wanted A Justification. Each Accusation Was Not A Question But A Stepping Stone Toward An Outcome Already Decided. This Is The Pattern Predators Follow: They Accuse First. Then Adjust The Accusation Until Resistance Looks Like G...
Lawyer Encik Ng Yih Miin (left) said the court found that Pahang executive councillor Encik Sim Chon Siang (right) had not misused funds related to Malaysians trafficked to Cambodia and Myanmar, as alleged. Pahang executive councillor Encik Sim Chon Siang has won a defamation suit against social media influencer Encik Tony Looi, with the High Court in Kuala Lumpur awarding Sim a total of RM1.2 million in damages. As reported by FMT , lawyer Encik Ng Yih Miin said the court ordered general and aggravated damages against Looi, the defendant, on 9 April 2026. “The defendant is to pay RM800,000 in general damages and RM400,000 in aggravated damages, together with interest at 5% per annum from the date of judgment until full settlement, as well as RM10,000 in costs,” Ng said at a press conference yesterday. What I think about Rafizi’s new Party, BERSAMA By the way, that was me signing my application to join PPBM or Bersatu back in 2016. I was excited to welcome a new party that can reset Malaysia after Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak’s 1MDB. I was probably as excited as some of you planning to join Datuk Seri Mohd Rafizi Ramli’s Bersama political party. My PPBM membership was 000068. Talk about being one of the first. Najib lost PRU14 in 2018 bringing the collapse of UMNO dominance since Merdeka. Najib said UMNO would be dominant for 1000 years but in reality UMNO lasted just 61 years. Hubris was Najib’s downfall. Tun M was at the helm and I was excited, finally we would see progress. I was wrong. The constant pressuring to let Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim become PM finally caused the coalition to collapse. Gentlemanly Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad resigned. People say Tun M is drunk for power. I often correct them that this old man resigned as Prime Minister twice. TWICE. What do ...
