Why did the Bar Council and PKR ask for clarification from a tape recorder?
Negeri Sembilan PKR urges Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim to explain a letter sent to the Keeper of the Rulers' Seal claiming that Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir is no longer the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan
Recently, it was reported that the Malaysian Bar requested the Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Datuk Ismail Lasim, to explain every changing and contradictory statement.
For example, Ismail Lasim claimed that he signed the abdication proclamation under duress and coercion. Therefore, the Bar Council subsequently asked him to reveal who forced him to sign the proclamation.
Rumors claim that he was forced by the Deputy Prime Minister, who is also the UMNO President, as well as several other UMNO leaders. Although the Singaporean media hinted at this in their reports, the truth of the news has not been firmly proven to this day.
The Menteri Besar (Chief Minister) has also lodged a police report regarding being forced.
However, after that, he was also the person who confirmed the unanimous decision of the Negeri Sembilan Executive Council (Exco) regarding the abdication of Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir as the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan.
The Menteri Besar also announced his instruction to the State Secretary to gazette the dethronement of Tuanku Muhriz."
The longer we entertain and follow the developments of this endless crisis, it's not just a headache, but it feels as though we are watching a cartoon. The audience is being made fools of.
For Permadu Malaysia, asking Ismail Lasim for an explanation is a waste of time. This is because circumstances show that the Menteri Besar is merely like a tape recorder—a talking machine on behalf of other people, individuals, or parties. Completely without shame, because a machine simply has no feelings.
Meanwhile, news portal Malaysiakini reported that Negeri Sembilan PKR urged Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim to give an explanation regarding a letter sent to the Keeper of the Rulers' Seal, claiming that Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir is no longer the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan.
State PKR Communications Director Encik Shariman Che Deris, said the allegation, which was raised by Tuanku Muhriz when openly reprimanding Ismail recently on Friday, requires an explanation from the Menteri Besar.
"In this regard, the Menteri Besar needs to provide an appropriate explanation regarding the matters raised by Yang Dipertuan Besar Tuanku Muhriz,” he said in a statement on Saturday.
On 16 October, in a video recording after performing Friday prayers at the Kampung Beting Mosque in Kuala Pilah, Tuanku Muhriz reprimanded Ismail regarding a letter sent to the Keeper of the Rulers' Seal.

“Ismail Lasim recently wrote a letter to the Keeper of the Rulers' Seal (Rulers), saying that the decision made together with the Exco is valid, and that I am no longer the Yamtuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan.
“That’s why, why come see me today?
"Until he takes back what he said, do not see me. Go away, don't see me, I don't want to see you, okay? You understand?" decreed His Majesty in the viral recording.

Ismail previously confirmed that he signed a proclamation letter for the abdication of Tuanku Muhriz by the Undang Yang Empat, but later claimed he did so under duress.
The Menteri Besar also stressed that he has no power to determine who occupies the throne of the Yang di-Pertuan Besar.
The dispute intensified after the proclamation regarding the appointment of Tunku Nadzaruddin Tuanku Ja’afar was announced to be gazetted.
Tuanku Muhriz subsequently revoked the appointments of the 10 executive council (Exco) members involved, but retained Ismail as the Menteri Besar (Chief Minister).
The Executive Councillor (Exco members) involved then challenged the action in court.
Postponement of the State Legislative Assembly sitting
Meanwhile, Shariman also criticized the state government regarding the postponement of the Negeri Sembilan State Legislative Assembly (DUN) session that was supposed to begin on Saturday.
He said the postponement was made without proper notification to the 11 opposition assemblymen.

According to him, the assemblymen in question, led by Negeri Sembilan Opposition Leader Encik Arul Kumar, are already prepared with 10 questions to be debated.
However, he said, this State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting was not taken seriously by the Chief Minister (Menteri Besar) and government assemblymen (ADUN), as it was easily adjourned without prior notice.
"The State Legislative Assembly (DUN) does not belong to any individual or political party. It is a democratic institution that carries the mandate of the people," he said.
Therefore, Shariman urged the state government to provide an official explanation regarding the postponement of the state assembly (DUN) sitting, including the reasons, procedures, and methods of notification to all state assemblymen (ADUN).
Negeri Sembilan PKR also requested the state government to respect democratic and royal institutions through prudent actions, responsible communication, and compliance with rules and the constitution.
"Negeri Sembilan needs leadership that can solve problems, not let issues drag on. The people deserve a transparent, mature, and responsible administration,
"When trust is questioned, an explanation must be given. When public confidence is affected, the action to restore it must begin with honesty and accountability," he said.
