Waze and TuJu
When we make cashless transactions—using debit or credit cards, and even more so when paying via QR codes—everything is recorded in detail, including the location, time, and date of your transaction.
If you secretly bring your girlfriend into your secret condominium, don't assume there is no record. When you scan your card at the entrance to open the barrier gate, everything is recorded, including CCTV footage.
The system might not know you are bringing in a secret lover, but if anything happens afterward, it will be quite difficult for you to deny that you were at that location.
So, Waze is just one of many sources of fear when it comes to having your location tracked. What makes that fear even more prominent is none other than the fact that it is based in Israel.
As an ordinary, completely unimportant person, why should I care about any of that? Nobody wants to know where I am anyway.
In fact, I enjoy doing cashless transactions. It makes things easier. In fact, I usually only have a few ringgit in cash in my wallet. In going about my daily routine, I almost never need cash at all.
However, I was once caught in a bind one day while driving from the south to Kuala Lumpur. While traveling on the PLUS highway and about to exit at Sungai Besi, the toll barrier didn't open. Instead, a siren went off, indicating that the credit balance on my Touch 'n Go card was insufficient.
I went to one of the counters that provided top-up services. I broke into a sweat when I was told that they only accepted cash payments for top-ups. I only had RM 2 in cash at the time, while my Touch 'n Go balance was short by more than RM 29.
It's strange that while government and government-linked agencies only accept cashless payments, Touch 'n Go is the exact opposite. They only accept cash.
Ultimately, my problem was solved when a rather pretty female staff member helped pay using her own cash, and I transferred the amount to her bank account via online banking.
Returning to Waze and TuJu, let's watch a video of an individual's opinion regarding the terrible quality of TuJu's services.

Hopefully, the TuJu service providers will accept the comments in the video positively and professionally. Make improvements immediately. There is no need to be defensive and refuse to admit that you are indeed doing a terrible job.
