Which husband and wife belong to Malaysian politics?
In a small town, two families lived next door to each other.
In one house, the husband and wife were constantly arguing. Every problem turned into a battle over who was to blame and who was right.
Next door, another couple seemed to live peacefully. No shouting. No constant arguments. No endless accusations.
The first wife could not understand it. She was jealous of her neighbor’s peaceful marriage and finally said to her husband:
“Go over there and find out how they do it. I want to know why everything seems so calm in their house.”
So the husband went next door and quietly stood near an open window, watching and listening.
Inside, the woman was cleaning the house.
She picked up an expensive vase and carefully dusted it. Then the phone rang.
Distracted, she set the vase near the edge of the table and went to answer.
A moment later, her husband walked into the room. He was in a hurry, bumped the table, and the vase crashed to the floor.
The neighbor watching from outside thought: Oh boy. Here comes the fight.
The wife walked back into the room, looked at the broken vase, and sighed.
“I’m sorry, honey,” she said. “That was my fault. I shouldn’t have left it so close to the edge.”
Her husband shook his head. “No, sweetheart. It was my fault. I was rushing and wasn’t paying attention.”
Then he smiled. “It’s only a vase. If that’s the worst thing that happens to us, we’re doing pretty well.”
The neighbor felt something tighten in his chest. He quietly went home.
His wife immediately asked: “Well? What took you so long? Did you figure out their secret?”
“Yes,” he said.
“So what is it?”
He looked at her and answered: “In their house, everyone is willing to be wrong. In ours, everyone has to be right.”
Family happiness is something many people want. But peace at home is rarely created by proving who is right every single time.
It grows when two people stop treating each other like opponents.
Learn to enjoy the time you have together. Notice the kindness your partner shows you. Remember the good. Appreciate the effort.
Because sometimes the need to be right can cost you something far more valuable than winning an argument: peace in your own home.
