Judging from the surface, it looks like your business will go bankrupt

The owner of a small neighborhood grocery store was deeply worried

You want me to bless the very place that may put me out of business?

A huge supermarket had just opened across the street, and he was convinced his business was finished. His little store had supported his family for generations. It had never made them rich, but it had always provided enough. Now he feared bankruptcy, and the thought of losing everything felt unbearable.

So he went to an old wise man for advice.

The old man listened carefully and then said, “If you fear your competitor, you will begin to hate him. And that hatred will destroy you faster than the competition ever could.”

“What should I do?” the store owner asked.

“Every morning, stand in front of your store and pray for your own business to prosper. Then turn toward the supermarket and pray for it to prosper as well.”

The man stared at him. “You want me to bless the very place that may put me out of business?”

The old man nodded. “Any blessing you send toward another person has a way of returning to you. But every bitter wish you carry will poison your own heart first.”

Six months later, the grocer came back to see the old man.

“What happened?” the old man asked.

The grocer smiled. “Exactly what I feared. I had to close my store.”

Then he added, “But now I manage the supermarket across the street. And life is better than it has been in years.”

MAHATHIR MAY REJOIN UMNO

What Mahathir expected did not happen Initially, Mahathir Mohamad thought his party – PPBM (Bersatu) – could  morph  into a new version of UMNO. After all, it was him who brilliantly destroyed the original UMNO in 1988 and created “UMNO Baru” (the current UMNO version 2.0). Dua tokoh parti politik yang sukar dipisahkan dari imej rasuah , semakin panas bertelagah Rentak Madani 🎵 Akhbar Sinar Harian melaporkan semalam bahawa Ketua Pemuda UMNO, Datuk Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh mencabar Ahli Majlis Kerja Tertinggi (MKT) UMNO,  Datuk Lokman Noor Adam  supaya berdepan dengannya sama ada di mahkamah ataupun di gelanggang, berikutan tuduhan kononnya beliau mempunyai agenda tersembunyi untuk menaikkan  Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein  sebagai Perdana Menteri. OVERCONCENTRATION OF A MALAY POPULATION MAKES SHAH ALAM A GHOST CITY, SAYS ANALYST

Shah Alam City YESTERDAY, FMT reported that the capital city of Selangor had become very quiet, slow and almost no business, many buildings unoccupied, which one of them only utilised by less than ten staff of a company. Some factories closed down, businesses from petty traders to big timers closed shops for the past six months and so on. Even foreign business people from Indonesia and Pakistan decided to go back to their respective countries or moved to other places. A prominent business analyst, in his blog wrote that one of the reasons for the downfall of Shah Alam was the government's policy in overconcentrating a Malay population in the said city. Syukri Razab Presiden Parti Bersama Malaysia

Dalam satu perkembangan yang agak memeranjatkan, teraju utama Parti Bersama Malaysia (Bersama) Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli mengesahkan Encik Syukri Razab ( gambar , atas sekali ) adalah presiden parti itu dan namanya berdaftar dengan Pendaftar Pertubuhan (RoS - Registrar of Society) Malaysia. Beliau merupakan bekas pegawai khas kepada Rafizi Ramli. Selepas pengambilalihan parti tersebut, Rafizi dan Encik Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad mengambil alih peranan sebagai peneraju utama parti, namun Syukri Razab kekal memegang jawatan Presiden Parti Bersama. Bersama expected to win half of PKR, DAP and Amanah's existing parliamentary and state seats in Johor

Analysts say Johor state elections will be PH Vs BN — but they overlook Bersama PAS and Bersatu are expected to face a rough ride in the upcoming Johor state election, as both parties look set to go their own way while their potential allies appear lacklustre. Though both parties have announced efforts to form new political configurations amid Perikatan Nasional’s ongoing crisis, news portal FMT spoke to Dr Mazlan Ali of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and he said these new alliances would not be earth-shattering in Johor. Pahang DAP exco man awarded RM1.2mil damages over libel

Lawyer Encik Ng Yih Miin (left) said the court found that Pahang executive councillor Encik Sim Chon Siang (right) had not misused funds related to Malaysians trafficked to Cambodia and Myanmar, as alleged. Pahang executive councillor Encik Sim Chon Siang has won a defamation suit against social media influencer Encik Tony Looi, with the High Court in Kuala Lumpur awarding Sim a total of RM1.2 million in damages. As reported by FMT , lawyer Encik Ng Yih Miin said the court ordered general and aggravated damages against Looi, the defendant, on 9 April 2026. “The defendant is to pay RM800,000 in general damages and RM400,000 in aggravated damages, together with interest at 5% per annum from the date of judgment until full settlement, as well as RM10,000 in costs,” Ng said at a press conference yesterday. What I think about Rafizi’s new Party, BERSAMA By the way, that was me signing my application to join PPBM or Bersatu back in 2016. I was excited to welcome a new party that can reset Malaysia after Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak’s 1MDB. I was probably as excited as some of you planning to join Datuk Seri Mohd Rafizi Ramli’s Bersama political party. My PPBM membership was 000068. Talk about being one of the first. Najib lost PRU14 in 2018 bringing the collapse of UMNO dominance since Merdeka.  Najib said UMNO would be dominant for 1000 years but in reality UMNO lasted just 61 years. Hubris was Najib’s downfall.  Tun M was at the helm and I was excited, finally we would see progress. I was wrong.
