All Bukit Naning state election candidates are confident they will win

PH candidate Encik Ysahrudin Kusni (right) and PN candidate Encik Radzi Amin are locked in a five-cornered fight for the Bukit Naning seat in the Johor election this Saturday.

Pakatan Harapan’s candidate for Bukit Naning, Encik Ysahrudin Kusni, has pledged to channel his entire allowance as a state assemblyman into a public welfare fund if he is elected in the Johor election this Saturday.

FMT quoted him as saying, the pledge was one of five commitments he was offering voters, alongside a focus on agriculture, healthcare, education and infrastructure to improve the quality of life for residents in the constituency.

Ysahrudin said he hoped his track record as Bukit Naning assemblyman from 2018 would help gain voters’ confidence, particularly his resolution of the area’s water tank issue, which had stretched on for more than 30 years.

“I hope the services and contributions I made previously will be reflected in the people’s support at the ballot box.

“I also want to represent all communities, not just one segment of society,” he said, adding that he has met about 70% of voters so far.

Facing a five-cornered contest, Ysahrudin said he was not underestimating any of his rivals, as each had their own strengths.

However, he said he was more concerned about independent candidate Encik S Jeganathan, who secured about 1,500 votes in the constituency in the 2022 state election.

Ysahrudin also contested the Bukit Naning seat in the 2022 state election, but lost to Barisan Nasional’s Encik Fuad Tukirin who won with a 1,535 vote-majority.

Meanwhile, Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate Encik Radzi Amin said his more than 25 years of service in Bukit Naning would be his main advantage in winning over voters despite facing the strengths of the PH and BN machineries.

“I served as a parent-teacher association chairman for 13 years and was also a special officer to former Bukit Naning assemblyman Encik Abdullah Khalid Ali,” said Radzi, the Bakri Bersatu chief.

BN candidate Encik Ghazali Sabari, meanwhile, urged voters to retain the current Johor government to ensure political stability and continued development in the state.

“I urge the people to retain the BN-led Johor government. With the stability we have, God willing, we can build an even better government, and I hope the winning majority in Bukit Naning can be increased,” he said.

Jeganathan said he was confident of making history by winning the Bukit Naning seat despite having lost there twice, including in the 2018 state election.

“I have never given up and have continued helping the people. Residents here have also shown me their support. In the last election, I received 1,514 votes, and this time I am targeting more than 6,000 votes to win,” he said.

Shah Alam City YESTERDAY, FMT reported that the capital city of Selangor had become very quiet, slow and almost no business, many buildings unoccupied, which one of them only utilised by less than ten staff of a company. Some factories closed down, businesses from petty traders to big timers closed shops for the past six months and so on. Dalam satu perkembangan yang agak memeranjatkan, teraju utama Parti Bersama Malaysia (Bersama) Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli mengesahkan Encik Syukri Razab ( gambar , atas sekali ) adalah presiden parti itu dan namanya berdaftar dengan Pendaftar Pertubuhan (RoS - Registrar of Society) Malaysia. Beliau merupakan bekas pegawai khas kepada Rafizi Ramli. Bersama expected to win half of PKR, DAP and Amanah's existing parliamentary and state seats in Johor

Analysts say Johor state elections will be PH Vs BN — but they overlook Bersama PAS and Bersatu are expected to face a rough ride in the upcoming Johor state election, as both parties look set to go their own way while their potential allies appear lacklustre. Pahang DAP exco man awarded RM1.2mil damages over libel

Lawyer Encik Ng Yih Miin (left) said the court found that Pahang executive councillor Encik Sim Chon Siang (right) had not misused funds related to Malaysians trafficked to Cambodia and Myanmar, as alleged. Pahang executive councillor Encik Sim Chon Siang has won a defamation suit against social media influencer Encik Tony Looi, with the High Court in Kuala Lumpur awarding Sim a total of RM1.2 million in damages. As reported by FMT , lawyer Encik Ng Yih Miin said the court ordered general and aggravated damages against Looi, the defendant, on 9 April 2026. “The defendant is to pay RM800,000 in general damages and RM400,000 in aggravated damages, together with interest at 5% per annum from the date of judgment until full settlement, as well as RM10,000 in costs,” Ng said at a press conference yesterday. What I think about Rafizi’s new Party, BERSAMA By the way, that was me signing my application to join PPBM or Bersatu back in 2016. I was excited to welcome a new party that can reset Malaysia after Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak’s 1MDB. I was probably as excited as some of you planning to join Datuk Seri Mohd Rafizi Ramli’s Bersama political party. My PPBM membership was 000068. Talk about being one of the first. Najib lost PRU14 in 2018 bringing the collapse of UMNO dominance since Merdeka.  Najib said UMNO would be dominant for 1000 years but in reality UMNO lasted just 61 years. Hubris was Najib’s downfall.  Tun M was at the helm and I was excited, finally we would see progress. I was wrong.
