Please investigate and take immediate action, Mr Transport Minister |
GRAB HAS STARTED THE UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICE WHERE CUSTOMERS ARE AUTOMATICALLY OPTED-IN FOR SERVICES THEY MAY NOT WANT OR NOT AWARE OF & HAS TO ACTIVELY OPT OUT TO AVOID BEING CHARGED. Please retweet to stop this unethical practice.

Grab has started a 30 Sen automatically opted-in insurance coverage without consent. I was one of the many victims!
We will only see the opt out option in its bill. Therefore customers are automatically charged for additional insurance coverage without their consent.
30 Sen Per Trip Is a Small Sum!
If we accept the figure of 2.5 mil rides per day as stated by Grab in its website, the additional daily income is RM750,000 - the monthly extra income is RM22.5 mil!! God forbids!
Please see the image above for the automatically opted-in 30 Sen charge without customer consent!
It can lead to unintended charges and may be perceived as unethical or exploitative, especially if customers are not aware of the terms.
Certain Airline Had Used Such Automatically Opted-In Business Model But MAVCOM Had Stopped It. But Grab is a fast learner!
MAVCOM (Malaysian Aviation Commission) has already set a precedent in the aviation industry by prohibiting such practices, requiring customers to opt-in for additional services to ensure transparency and consent. This approach prioritizes consumer protection and informed decision-making.
Grab Must Stop The Automatically Opted-In Business Model or Risk Alienating Its Customer Base!
Ministry Of Transport Must Also Step In To Stop The Automatically Opted-In Business Model By Grab!
If Grab carries on with the similar automatically oped-in model and charged its customers for it, it risks alienating its customer base and must be stopped by the regulatory body, MOT.
It’s essential for companies to prioritize transparency and fairness in their business practices. Should Grab continue with this strategy despite public dissatisfaction, intervention by the Ministry of Transport (MOT) or other regulatory bodies will be necessary to safeguard consumer rights.
Public feedback and regulatory oversight can play a crucial role in encouraging businesses to adopt ethical practices. Hopefully, Grab will take note of customer concerns and revise its policies to align with fair business standards.
Grab To Refund All Automatically Opted-In Service
MOT must order Grab to stop such unethical practice forthwith and to refund all collection based on automatically opted in service!
Please retweet TO SAY NO to this unethical business model and also to also discourage other businesses from adopting such unethical business model.
