Say No To War
Tak nak !
Spain refused to let U.S. planes use its bases to strike Iran. Trump responded by threatening to end all trade. Then Pedro Sánchez went on national TV and delivered a ten-minute response the world wasn't expecting.
On March 4, 2026, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez delivered a televised address responding to Donald Trump's threat to cut all trade with Spain. The clash began after Spain vetoed the use of its Rota and Morón air bases for U.S. strikes on Iran.
Sánchez drew a direct parallel to the Iraq war, saying 23 years ago another U.S. administration convinced allies to invade over weapons of mass destruction that were never found. He called it a failure that brought terrorism, a migration crisis, and rising energy costs across Europe. He referred to the Bush-Blair-Aznar alliance as "the Azores Trio" and their legacy as "a lousy life" for Europeans.
Trump had called Spain a "terrible partner." Sánchez responded with three words: "No to war."
