This Is What You Get When You Have No Choice But To Work With The Old Corrupt Government

Anwar Learnt Nothing From Sabah and Johor, But Voters Did

NOWADAYS MALAYS DON'T CARE ABOUT CORRUPTION ANYMORE UNLESS YOU AND YOUR TEAM CAN CONVINCE THEM YOU'RE NOT

Negeri Sembilan election result was not a shock. It was a repeat. Sabah 2025. Johor 2026. Now NS. Same story. A federal government taking voters for granted, and paying the price.

1. The old playbook is dead

Since GE15, PH’s answer has been the same: 1MDB, Najib, Rosmah, “Sakau”.

In NS, Anwar didn’t name them. He said “sakau oleh kerajaan dahulu” (referring to Barisan Nasional).  Problem is, the “kerajaan dahulu” is now his partner in Putrajaya.

In NS, voters didn’t care. They’re tired.  They want to know why beras is expensive. Why subsidies were cut. Why haj is now unaffordable.

Re-litigating the past won’t win the present. Anwar couldn't see that.

2. The Tabung Haji RCI backfired

The TH RCI was submitted to the Agong in Aug 2022. It was only released now.

Voters asked: “Why hide it 3 years? Why now?” It looked like a campaign gimmick, not reform.

Worse, it reminded people: “During BN, haj was affordable. Now it is not.” Instead of hurting UMNO, it made it look like the party that delivered.

3. The “racial politics” excuse is done

After losing, PH blamed “racial politics” for BN-PN. But when Chinese vote 90% for DAP, it’s a mandate. When Malays vote BN-PN, it’s racism?

Voters see through it.

And let’s not forget GE15. Even with 90% non-Malay support, Anwar needed UMNO to become PM. PH still needs Malay votes.

The hard truth: Sabah taught PH about arrogance. Johor taught them about the ground. NS taught them about credibility.

Same coach. Same game plan. Same 3-0 defeat.

If PH wants to survive, change the people around Anwar. Less Putrajaya spin. Because voters will keep sending the same message. Just in different states.
