Vape devices – now included as prohibited items at government sport facilities

News portal The Malaysian Insight reported today, Tuesday November 21, 2023, the Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh says vape devices are on the list of prohibited items like cigarettes, lighters, power banks and umbrellas because they are classified as weapons that can harm people at sports venues. 

She said PUTRAJAYA has banned vape devices at the ministries facilities throughout the country.

She told parliament the cabinet had made the decision and all the ministry’s facilities are now no smoking and vaping zones.
