 A veteran politician's opinion

ZAHID IS LOCKED BETWEEN ANWAR'S AND TOK MAT HASSAN'S THIGHS

WILL THERE BE MORE CURSE OATHS?

1. Don't read 'Negri Sembilan Political Troubles' with the eyes of an ordinary person. This is not just a matter of the Menteri Besar being shaken or 14 UMNO-BN assemblymen losing trust. Seremban today is sending a political warning to Putrajaya, and the first name that is getting the most heat is Zahid Hamidi.

2. Aminuddin and Jalaluddin are just names on the surface. They are just a gateway to a bigger story. The real crisis is sitting on Zahid's desk, affecting Anwar's position, and reopening the shadow of Tok Mat in UMNO.

3. Fourteen ADUNs did not move simultaneously due to emotion. In politics, such a large number is not something that is stumbled upon by the wayside. It is a signal that is arranged, calculated and released with a target. What is visible in front is the state crisis. What is moving behind is a test of UMNO's power.

4. The real question is no longer whether Aminuddin can survive or not. The real question is whether Zahid is still the President who controls UMNO, or has become the President who is being taught by the state UMNO itself. This is where many people misread. They think that Negeri Sembilan UMNO is simply pressuring PH. The truth is, the political bullet finally landed on Zahid's desk.

5. PH is indeed being hit in the face. But what is felt in the chest is Zahid. Negeri Sembilan UMNO may mention the Menteri Besar's name, but the real pressure is being sent to the UMNO President, until when will the party want to be the burden bearer of someone else's power formula?

6. That's why the language of central UMNO sounds strange and wrong. Respects the decision of the ADUN, but wants to save the government. Lost trust in the Menteri Besar, but doesn't want the Unity formula to crack. That's not the language of a strong party. That's the language of a party that is stuck.

7. If Zahid is truly independent and strong, his stance would be clear. But Zahid cannot attack Negeri Sembilan UMNO because that is where the party's dignity lies. He also cannot strangle PH too hard because that is where its political life is at stake. So Zahid stands in the middle of the road, being hit from two directions.

8. This is the most painful trap for Zahid. If he subdues Negeri Sembilan UMNO, he will be seen to be protecting Anwar more than protecting UMNO. If he lets Negeri Sembilan UMNO continue to fight, he will shake the government that is currently the pillar of his own position. Zahid speaks loudly, UMNO's internal war opens up. Zahid is silent, he looks weak. Zahid chooses PH, UMNO's roots are angry. Zahid chooses state UMNO, PH loses trust.

9. So the truth is that Zahid is not controlling the crisis. The crisis is controlling Zahid. And that is the most bitter thing for a party President who still wants to be seen as strong. Negeri Sembilan is not just judging Aminuddin. Negeri Sembilan is judging Zahid, is the UMNO President still controlling his party, or has his party started to control the President?

10. Anwar also shouldn't pretend to be comfortable. If the tremors from state UMNO can be felt all the way to Putrajaya, that means the central government is not standing on rock. It is standing on a political agreement that can always be cracked. Anwar may not fall today, but his weaknesses have been shown, he is dependent on Zahid, while Zahid himself is being pressured from his own home.

11. This is where the story of stability begins to unfold. This government is not just built on principles as sold to the people. It is built on political dependency. PH needs Zahid. Zahid needs Putrajaya. Anwar needs UMNO. State UMNO is getting tired of bearing the political costs that are increasingly damaging itself.

12. This is not moral strength. This is a survival transaction. Anwar lives with Zahid's support. Zahid lives with Putrajaya's protection. PH lives with UMNO's numbers. But deep down, UMNO's roots are asking, until when will their party want to be a crutch for someone else's government, while the party's own dignity is getting more and more damaged?

13. That is why Tok Mat cannot be read as a side character. He is the Deputy President of UMNO, the former Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan and a figure who understands the pulse of the state. In a crisis like this, Tok Mat's name is not present as decoration. Tok Mat does not need to shout. In UMNO, there are people who are silent but have spoken. His shadow alone is enough to remind Zahid that the party is no longer necessarily in his sole hands.

14. The explicit statement is that 14 ADUNs have lost trust in the Menteri Besar. The implicit statement is that Negeri Sembilan UMNO is testing Zahid. The deeper statement is that Anwar is dependent on the UMNO President who is being pressured by his own house. The most profound statement is that the shadow of Tok Mat cannot be removed from the reading of this crisis.

15. So don't read Seremban as a state crisis. Seremban today is a big mirror of Malaysian politics. In that mirror, the people can see three faces at once, Zahid who is locked up, Anwar who is dependent, and Tok Mat who is growing up in the shadow of UMNO. Aminuddin may be the name mentioned. Jalaluddin may be the face that emerges. But the real shock is reaching Zahid, touching Anwar, and reopening the big question in UMNO, who actually controls the party today?

16. The best thing is to return the mandate to the people and hold a PRN. If there is a PRN, PH (PKR, DAP, AMANAH & BN-UMNO) will definitely lose 101%. God willing. Don't swear the curse again. This is also a swear word.

That's it.
