In PUTRAJAYA, The Star reported Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli has arrived at the SPRM, known in English as Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to give a statement regarding alleged abuse of power and misappropriation involving an RM1.1bil investment.
The English daily said he was seen entering the compound at 9.45am today, Monday 4 May 2026.
A group of supporters was also seen congregating in the area, with a small police presence on hand.
Also present was Subang MP Encik Wong Chen, a known ally of Rafizi.
Previously, the MACC said the probe involves a strategic collaboration agreement in the semiconductor industry between the Economy Ministry and the UK-based company ARM Limited.
When met before entering the compound, Rafizi said he had nothing to hide and that his legal team was ready if the case went to the courts.
“I will go in for my statement without my lawyers because I have nothing to hide.
“I am confident there won’t be any need to refer to my lawyer either, and if the decision by MACC is to charge, then we will proceed to the defence in court.
“If it ends in court, then I am confident we have a strong case,” he said.
