The Mouse Trap — a lesson in empathy

A little mouse, hiding in her hole, saw the farmer and his wife opening a package on the kitchen table. Curious, she peeked out — and her tiny heart sank.

It was a mousetrap.

Terrified, she ran to warn the other animals on the farm.

First, she went to the chicken. “There’s a mousetrap in the house!” she cried.

The chicken shrugged. “That’s not my problem.”

Next, she ran to the lamb. “There’s a mousetrap in the house!”

“I’ll pray for you,” said the lamb gently. “But there’s nothing I can do.”

Desperate, she turned to the cow. “There’s a mousetrap in the house!”

The cow sighed. “Sorry, sweetheart — that’s your problem, not mine.”

Sad and helpless, the little mouse returned to her hiding place…

That night, a sound echoed through the dark farmhouse — SNAP!

But the trap hadn’t caught the mouse. It had caught the tail of a venomous snake.

When the farmer’s wife reached for the trap in the dark, the snake bit her hand.

They rushed her to the hospital, and when she returned home, she was burning with fever.

To help her recover, the farmer killed the chicken to make her some soup.

But her fever didn’t break. Friends and neighbors came to visit — and the farmer slaughtered the lamb to feed them.

When his wife finally passed away, the farmer, heartbroken and broke, sold the cow to pay for her funeral.

And the little mouse? She watched everything from her hole… powerless to change a thing.

Moral of the story

When someone tells you about their problem, don’t ignore it just because it doesn’t concern you.

A problem ignored today might become your problem tomorrow.

The ones who live only for themselves haven’t really learned how to live.

The world doesn’t suffer because of bad people… it suffers because of the indifference of good ones.

So reach out while you still can.

Australian political analyst says Malaysian PM's political party, PKR is in collapse

While Malaysian prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is on an official visit to Italy, Spain and Brazil to attend the BRICS summit, his own Peoples’ Justice Party (PKR) is in rapid collapse at home. News is emerging from chat groups and pundits there are mass branch resignations of members across more than 200 branches nationwide. Some branches just don’t exist anymore. Dua tokoh parti politik yang sukar dipisahkan dari imej rasuah , semakin panas bertelagah Rentak Madani 🎵 Akhbar Sinar Harian melaporkan semalam bahawa Ketua Pemuda UMNO, Datuk Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh mencabar Ahli Majlis Kerja Tertinggi (MKT) UMNO,  Datuk Lokman Noor Adam  supaya berdepan dengannya sama ada di mahkamah ataupun di gelanggang, berikutan tuduhan kononnya beliau mempunyai agenda tersembunyi untuk menaikkan  Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein  sebagai Perdana Menteri. MAHATHIR MAY REJOIN UMNO

What Mahathir expected did not happen Initially, Mahathir Mohamad thought his party – PPBM (Bersatu) – could  morph  into a new version of UMNO. After all, it was him who brilliantly destroyed the original UMNO in 1988 and created “UMNO Baru” (the current UMNO version 2.0).
