FLASHBACK |
FMT reported just now that Indonesian president Datuk Prabowo Subianto arrived in Kuala Lumpur today on a goodwill Aidilfitri visit and a quick meeting with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Indonesian publication Tempo quoted Indonesia Cabinet secretary Encik Teddy Indra Wijaya as saying Prabowo will return to Jakarta immediately after the meeting.
He also said the two leaders would “certainly” discuss the tariffs announced by the US, as the two leaders often discussed “many things” whenever they met.
The visit marks the third time the Indonesian president has come to Malaysia since taking office in October 2024.
The US has imposed a so-called reciprocal tariff of 24% on Malaysia and a 32% tariff on Indonesian goods.
