Celebrity Norjuma declared bankrupt


Bernama reported Penang High Court today declared celebrity entrepreneur Norjuma Habib Mohamed (picture, above) bankrupt after she failed to repay a debt of RM260,400 to Fame Up Entertainment.

Deputy Registrar Siti Zulaikha Nordin recorded the bankruptcy order against Norjuma after hearing the creditor’s petition filed in October last year.

Court documents showed Fame Up Entertainment applied for a bankruptcy order against Norjuma after she did not pay the company the sum as ordered by the Kuala Lumpur High Court in October 2021.

The firm’s lawyer, Muhammad Hassanuddin Roslan said two courts issued an arrest warrant for Norjuma last year.

“Today is the hearing date for the creditor’s petition but Norjuma failed to appear, for the third time,” he added.

He said a warrant of arrest had been issued against Norjuma by the Kuala Lumpur Court and the Shah Alam Court last year.

Fame Up Entertainment owner Zuriawati Zaidi, 44 was present in court.

The company filed two defamation suits against Norjuma in 2019 and 2020.

Australian political analyst says Malaysian PM's political party, PKR is in collapse

While Malaysian prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is on an official visit to Italy, Spain and Brazil to attend the BRICS summit, his own Peoples’ Justice Party (PKR) is in rapid collapse at home. Shah Alam City YESTERDAY, FMT reported that the capital city of Selangor had become very quiet, slow and almost no business, many buildings unoccupied, which one of them only utilised by less than ten staff of a company. Dalam satu perkembangan yang agak memeranjatkan, teraju utama Parti Bersama Malaysia (Bersama) Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli mengesahkan Encik Syukri Razab ( gambar , atas sekali ) adalah presiden parti itu dan namanya berdaftar dengan Pendaftar Pertubuhan (RoS - Registrar of Society) Malaysia. Beliau merupakan bekas pegawai khas kepada Rafizi Ramli. Selepas pengambilalihan parti tersebut, Rafizi dan Encik Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad mengambil alih peranan sebagai peneraju utama parti, namun Syukri Razab kekal memegang jawatan Presiden Parti Bersama.
