A very rich lady borrows US$5,000 from the bank, approved

A blonde walks into a bank in New York City and asks to speak with a loan officer.

“I’m heading to Europe on business for two weeks,” she explains, “and I need to borrow $5,000.”

The loan officer informs her that the bank requires collateral for such a loan. Without hesitation, the blonde hands over the keys to a brand-new Mercedes-Benz SL 500.

“The car is parked right outside,” she says. “I have the title, and everything is in order.”

After verifying the documents, the bank approves the loan and takes the car as collateral.

Once the blonde leaves, the bank’s president and officers chuckle amongst themselves. Using a $110,000 luxury car as security for a $5,000 loan? They can’t believe their luck.

An employee carefully drives the Mercedes into the bank’s underground garage, where it’s safely parked for the duration of her trip.

Two weeks later, the blonde returns. She repays the $5,000 loan plus interest, which amounts to just $15.41.

As the loan officer hands back her car keys, he can’t resist asking, “Miss, we’re grateful for your business, but we’re a bit puzzled. While you were away, we looked into your background and discovered that you’re a multimillionaire. Why would you need to borrow $5,000?”

With a knowing smile, the blonde replies, “Where else in New York City can I park my car for two weeks for just $15.41 and be sure it’ll still be there when I return?”

Australian political analyst says Malaysian PM's political party, PKR is in collapse

While Malaysian prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is on an official visit to Italy, Spain and Brazil to attend the BRICS summit, his own Peoples’ Justice Party (PKR) is in rapid collapse at home. News is emerging from chat groups and pundits there are mass branch resignations of members across more than 200 branches nationwide. Some branches just don’t exist anymore. MAHATHIR MAY REJOIN UMNO

What Mahathir expected did not happen Initially, Mahathir Mohamad thought his party – PPBM (Bersatu) – could  morph  into a new version of UMNO.
