Not too veteran pop singer Ruhil is now technically eligible as divorcee

Media reported a few days ago the pop singer Ruhil Amani Hussin, 48, was keeping mum over talk on social media that her marriage is over.

The former 1980s teen idol said in a news report that she would give a statement about her marital status "when the time is right."

 Referring to today's Facebook post, New Straits Times reported just now singer Ruhil Amani Hussin has confirmed rumours that her marriage is over.

The 48-year-old mother of two said she and her husband Jamil Wilson had ended their marriage amicably in May 2019.

"I would like to confirm that my former husband and I were divorced in May 2019."I initially chose not to highlight this fact as part of my parental responsibility to protect my children from slander and rumours.

"However I have now decided to give a statement on the status of my marriage because many of my friends and fans have been asking about it. "I have decided to clear the air on my marital status and my children are right behind me," said Ruhil who was famous in the 1980s and 1990s.

Ruhil admitted that as an artiste she preferred to speak about her career and not her family, and accepted the end of her marriage as God's will.

"I want to thank all my friends, fans and the media for supporting me as an artiste all these years. Let us all pray that my children and I will see better days ahead."

It was reported last Monday that Ruhil had chosen to keep mum over talk on social media that her marriage was over.

She said that she would give a statement about her marital status "when the time is right."

Ruhil married musician Jamil Wilson in 2003 and they have a 19-year-old daughter and a 12-year-old son. After becoming a mother, Ruhil slowed down her singing career to spend quality time with her loved ones.

  Bukan di Malaysia Ketua Polis Johor Kamarul Zaman Mamat dilaporkan menafikan terdapat kejadian jambatan runtuh dan dihanyutkan arus seperti didakwa dalam satu video tular di TikTok. “Polis mengesahkan kejadian tidak berlaku di Johor dan dipercayai berlaku di luar negara. “Orang ramai dinasihati tidak menyebarkan berita atau mesej palsu yang boleh mendatangkan ketakutan dan kegusaran kepada masyarakat. Pihak yang menyebarkan berita atau mesej palsu boleh diambil tindakan mengikut undang-undang,” katanya. It is about civil society. Her appointment as finance and economic adviser to her daddy, the prime minister, is something that we should not have to write about. Because it should never have happened. But because it has, we must write about it.
